The two things most parents worry about with lactation is nipple pain and their baby getting enough. According to the CDC these are also the most common reasons for weaning. You don't have to go through this worry alone. I know breastfeeding and you know your baby/body/ life best, together we can come up with a plan.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A PRENATAL CONSULT?
I LEARN MORE ABOUT YOU, YOUR PREGNANCY, YOUR EXPECTED BIRTH PLAN, YOUR BABY AND YOUR POSTPARTUM PLAN
I learn more about you, your baby, and your life through forms and conversation. We will talk about any possible yellow flags in your intake forms and how we can minimize the effects of those yellow flags.
You will learn about your baby and lactation
You will learn the expected timeline of lactation in the newborn period and how milk production works during this time. You will get hands-on practice with latches and positioning using a doll. Lastly, we will do a mini flange fitting, and you will practice hand expression (if you want).
WE MAKE A PLAN AND UPDATE THE PLAN
We make a plan based on what we have learned in the first two steps. You can then message me in the Spruce app if you have questions, updates, or want to check in. Many parents will message me their insurance pump options or ask me for my favorite products to promote lactation.
